How do you keep your effin' hair out of the way?!?!

So i have yet to figure out a way to keep my hair out of my face, it's not nearly as long as it to be but it's still irritating when you're going 70 down a dual highway and a little strand of hair starts poking you in the eye. On a dirtbike it wasn't an issue because i'd put my helmet on then shove my hair out of the way with my goggles, but with a FF helmet i'm having issues.... thought about a headband but idk... So.... long haired FZ6r's unite and help!!!!! Any thoughts or criticisms welcome :thumbup:

Bandana works great...but i hated using those. Try tilting your head back when you put on the helmet, then open the visor and push the hair out of your face and stuff them between your forehead/temples and the padding of the helmet. It works pretty good although you will get a string here and there.

I bet you feel like a hooligan pulling off your helmet in front of the ladies and letting that rebel flag fly. Discomfort is a little price to pay for that style. :thumbup:

A thin balaclava will solve that issue... plus it means the helmet lineing does not need washing as often...

Start with wet hair if possible. Comb hair up and out so it gets body.
Depending on the thickness of your hair, part it into at least four sections using a large-toothed comb.
Braid each section and secure with a no-snag elastic hairband.
Sleep in the braids overnight to get the best look.
Unbraid your hair when you get up in the morning. Bend over and tousle your hair with your fingers.
Divide each of the four sections into four individual sections with a rat-toothed comb. Do this one section at a time.
With each of the four "mini" sections, backcomb your hair gently until you achieve your desired Afro.

The skull caps most cruiser riders wear will contain your hair.

It's still a lot easier to just cut that stuff off, rather than let it irritate the ride.

This from a career military guy, who cut off his pony tail when he went to boot camp.

Here's my dilemma, i'd cut my hair but when its short i look like a really ugly woman, i'd go bald or real short but my head isn't pretty, all scared up from my childhood, but thx for the advice ill try em out and if all goes to hell, i might cut it a bit shorter (slim-to-none chance of that though :rockon

While I'd love to have long hair, I hate taking care of it.. Also, since I'm typically working in very hot, humid conditions with a hard hat on, long hair is nothing but an insulator that wet with sweat after the first hour..

#6 clipper every 6 weeks keeps it from being an issue.. I just hate how the barbers all have all that grey hair on the aprons when I'm done.. They tell me that the apron didn't have any on it when they started, but I know they're liars!!!

I DON'T have any grey hairs!!
