The Rant Thread

LMFAO. I know what you mean. Here in Australia we are pretty casual about carving up the lingo (you may have noticed), but even so there are a few things like that, which still give a dude the teeth grinds:D.

My answer is to imagine them staked out on an ants nest with honey on their 'bits' while you scream at them, "NOW SAY BOUGHT!" while they are talking to you. You may miss a bit of the conversation, and they may ask you why you are suddenly smiling, but in the end it's probably better than hacking off their head with a chainsaw in your imagination, because the grimace and the jump back to avoid the blood spatter as the imaginary head falls may be a little disconcerting to them:eek::BLAA::D

Edit....Don't let me put you off using an imaginary chainsaw if that's the way you want to roll. Remember, when all is said and done imaginary fuel for your imaginary chainsaw is ridiculously cheap. :BLAA:

The "stuff" that goes on inside your head, never ceases to amaze me!

:D

You been in the special cupboard.....again???:smoking::cool:

An update on my little incident.

The person who hit me never bothered replying with their insurance details, and I put in a claim so my insurance could chase them up.
I'm currently going to be paying a $1000 excess, and the insurance company has just said that my oggies, levers and topbox, which took the majority of damage aren't covered because they aren't included on the insurance policy. (Oggies been on the bike since new)
This is even though I wasn't at fault and have a witness.

I'm totally pissed off with QBE who as far as I am concerned are ripping me off, and letting the guilty party get away with just destroying my property and then ignoring the repercussions.

If I want to have the lever and topbox fixed I have to pay for the replacements (Probably 600 more $$$ on top of the excess), and MAYBE get reinbursed when the insurance company claims the damages, but minus a fee for making the claim.

And this is even if they can get the *#@Y$ing money back.
So friggen pissed off right now.

I'm going away for the weekend and at least the bike is rideable, and when I get back I'm going to chase up the insurance company and start putting some MAJOR pressure on them because as far as I am concerned I'm being ripped off by everyone and my bike won't even be fixed properly....

Yep, anything aftermarket has to be noted, and added to the value of the bike, for them to cover it.

It's always your fault, unless you can name the other person INCLUDING their insurance details. That's the way of the insurance industry in Aus. My car got broken into years ago. Lost my excess as I couldn't name the people/claim from their insurance, who broke into my car. Luckily I had No Claim Bonus protection. Still, p155ed me off!

And yes, unless they can make a successful claim against them, you lose your excess.

Maybe get in touch with the other people and demand they give their insurance details or you will follow up with the police. Actually, maybe send them a registered letter, saying they have 7 days to forward details or you will go legal. State you have witnesses etc.

I feel for you. :(

Why do people have to pull this crap? They backed into someone FFS. They've stuffd you around for ages. They've withheld insurance details at the scene of an accident. WTF???

I'm thinking kazza's right. Send them a registered letter asking for the details, and leting them know you have witnesses, and have made a police report (I assume you have if you've made a claim.) don't let up on these 'A' holes. You tried to do the right thing and they are effing you over. People like that are effing this world.

I probably should have put in a police report, but because I wasn't injured I was told not too :(.

Thanks for the advice though, I think I'll try and force them to provide their insurance details!! The reg. letter is a great idea.

I have to admit that it just annoys me because I would be dying of guilt if I did this to anyone!

How long does it take a salesman to come over and talk to you when your obviously quite interested in the bike your looking at? 5 mins? 10 mins? 15 mins?

Well, I was at my local Yamaha dealer this morning (where I bought the FZ, take it for servicing and spend plenty $$$$$$ buying other bike gear). Spent 20 mins going over a new 660 Tenere and not one 'Hello' or 'Ill be right with you mate'. Funny thing was, there was only 3 people the whole time looking at bikes & the other 2 were doing the general walk around!

Thought in the current slump a salesman would be tripping over themselves to get over to you if you spent more than 60 seconds looking at the same bike! Guess Pro Yamaha isn't affected by the sales slump & can have loyal customers walk away with the ****s for lack of service.

Jesus guys. Try being a WOMAN in a bike store. They ignore me and ask Mike all the questions.

I usually say something smart and tell them it's MY BLOODY BIKE.

Then they are most attentive :)

Come on out to Top Gun Yamaha & see Nick  We wont leave you standing & is a really decent salesman who actually believe it or not does like to rip his boss off :D so your definatly gunna get a great deal...

Mite just have to do that. Got to talk business with someone & see what they can offer.

We got too many bikes and lately, I got no interest at all in riding the FZ . Been taking the Strom to work, its just such an easy/comfortable bike to ride in traffic.

Can't exactly afford to keep paying for a bike that for the best part of a month sees action once a week......

My rant today. Hate how you have a good night out at the Super 15 & enjoy a few well earned brewskies and feel great, the next morning you just feel ****ed.

Had a full bottle of water, head still hurts. Piss off you irritating hangover :spank:

Try taking a B-complex vitamin prior, duirng and after a big night that will cut down on the hangover issues. Along with cutting down on sugar in your drinks.

I spent three years in Minot, ND , I know a little about execsessive drinking. :BLAA:

Am absolutely freaking sick of all the LART fans who cant take a bad word being sad about the spoilt brat of GP racing....get over it! you never seem to complain when the Stoner bashing starts....

I mean seriously, what a freaking joke.....yeah i know he is an icon, yeah i know he is a champion, yeah i know without him Moto GP would supposedly get half the publicity...

But the truth is, he is treated differently to everyone else, gets his own way whenever he wants it, cause even Dorna are frightened he will leave Moto GP...

Well i wish the little turd would pi$$ off right now, and let the rest of the racers get on with racing with grace and style, not manipulation, and bollocks tactics...

Yeah i know all you LART fans hate me.....so what! You all bore me to tears with your one eyed worship!

:Flip:

Must be time for a rant....Hold onto your butts:eek:

Warning...Not for the faint hearted.

Just got pulled over for failing to stop at an amber light.

Rule is, "Stop if it is safe to do so".

You be the judge...

Just going past a car that was in the left lane. I normally stay to the left of the right lane...closest to the centre of the road. Speed up slightly to get past the blind spot, while moving away slightly to give myself more time (just in case). Light goes amber. I continue through, with loads of time to spare. The reasons for this are twofold. 1. When I'd moved across to give a wide berth to the car, I had aligned myself with the white arrow in the middle of the lane, and reflecting nicely in the light is a patch of oil/diesel or something else that is gonna pose a potential risk to stopping. I could have waited until I was past it and nailed the picks, and done a very nice stoppie, but apparently that is frowned upon. 2. I could easily make it safely through the intersection.

Anyhow. This cop parked on the cross road at the lights decides that I'm doing way over the limit and had plenty of time to stop, so he comes after me, and hits the flashing red and blues. I acknowledge him with a nod and a thumb, indicate to move into the left lane, and look for a side street, to pull off onto (the main road not being a place I like to park). Just at the approach to the side street this Einsteinian c*** flashes his high beams as I check my mirrors, and I misjudged the turn or maybe hit a manhole cover (not sure...couldn't freaking see properly), and locked up the rear as I turned in (and no I wasn't using the rear brake:D).

I've pulled up going, "F*** me", and these morons have taken offense. They nearly had me sliding down the road, and they're upset?.......turned that around pretty quickly. I explain that I was just looking for somewhere safe to pull over, and get told, "I have to pull over when directed to by the police." I quickly put him in his place:rtfm:, and he decides to give me the "Thousand yard stare", so I stare straight back, and start smirking. He asks what I'm smirking about, and I tell him I've thought of a nice way to waste a bucket of petrol. (I don't really care, you may have noticed). He drops the thousand yard stare:scared:.

Anyhow, to cut a long story short....I've got a ticket (covered in boogers, and scrunched up in my seat bag - I don't think they cared for that much either- need to HTFU if you ask me), and I'll be off to court or the first ever ticket fighting adventure. Always just paid them and got on with it, but not this drivel.

Dip sh**s tried to tell me they ride too. Whatever:rolleyes:. The staring dude tried telling me his partner's bike was bigger....so he got himself a "Who cares? I didn't stop here to compare *****es." If you want to compare bikes, I'll see you at Mallala....chuckle chuckle:rolleyes:.

They even tell me they heard me "Roaring" through the lights....I was in first gear, but it's still a stock exhaust system.

They asked me at one point if I have a problem with the police. I tell them flat out, that traffic cops are wasting tax payers money with pointless BS like this.....and worse still a cop near took me out in the city the other night, as I went around his 30km/h under the limit dawdling @$$, but before I overtook I lined up myself with his mirror, and left my indicator flash 6 times before I went...sure enough the retard moved over on me without turning his head:Flip:.

I hate that holier than thou attitude.

Cop : "I'm just trying to do my job".

Me : "Tonight this is part of your job. If you don't like it, get another job. Don't blame me for your troubles." Mumble to self "way over paid anyhow".

People probably think I'm a little hard on them, but stop pulling people over for pointless BS like that...what a screaming joke. If everyone went off like that, eventually they'd go back to doing the right thing.

After all......I didn't break the law, and have a ticket...WTF? POS with a badge:Flip:

I think that might have been one of my better rants:thumbup:
