I had a Garfield Sobers signed bat with all other identifying marks worn off it by the old man who I inherited it from, when I was in year 6.
This bat weighed nearly twice as much as any of the bats found in the bag, so you had to read the ball early, to get your feet into position, and your swing started, but the spring and weight were almost guarenteed to either smash the ball into the fence, or have it sailing off the oval:rockon:...lol. Of course the prefered shot was straight down the ground...lol. That way you are actually watching at the precise moment that the bowlers little heart breaks:Flip::BLAA:....LMFAO.
I eventually broke that bat at high school

, but even to the last it served well. I broke it on a six, and the blade, having separated from the handle, made it 2/3 of the way to the fence also...lol. The old man was pretty sad about it too

.
I've never seen one before or since, and it was the perfect weapon for sloggin'.
