Blue angel eyes?

Heating up the housings to seperate the lense from the backing isn't a big deal. People do it all the time to paint the interior of headlight housings - it's a big deal on the Tundras for some reason. Don't let the one step keep you from doing the mod.

I like the white. It'd be better around a true HID project though...

in the oven doesn't scare me, but for the $100 that they cost on E-bay, i will just buy the pre-made kit rather than bending plastic tubing, putting etches in it, gluing tin foil to the back...

I'm with Rob here.... or at least find another stocker to toy with!

I have the blue halo's on my bike. But they came already installed on the projector kit I installed. The lenses are easy to take off. One of my other posts has a couple of pictures of what screws need to be taken out to remove the fairing and mirrors. I bought a heat gun from harborfreight for 12 or 13 bucks. I takes about 2 minutes to heat up around the lens. The plastic will start to cool but the glue is still hot for a few minutes.

Haha, you woke up a 2 year old thread brother. Last post before yours was August 2008. For what it's worth, you don't need a heat gun. Just put the entire headlight without bulbs into the oven at 200F for about ten minutes, remove and quickly pull apart. Repeat process for putting it back together. I've done with the FZ headlights and several cars for projector retrofits.

would like to ask, which r6 headlights can fit nicely into our fz6?

rsw81: wondering if you are interested in helping me to install 1 projector light with angel eyes?

If you mean the older R6 projector headlights, there was only one version of that anyway. This was I believe '03-'05 R6 headlights. The only way to make that work is to custom fabricate brackets to make them fit into the stock FZ6 housing.

Here is the link I put on Sportbikes.net on how I did mine.
