ive read alot of posts about the swap and what to use, but i decided to go with 07 r1 seats an pannels. i kept my subframe and it was pretty easy the main thing was welding. i had to weld in new mounting brackets. i havent figured out what im guna do about covering up the sides of the frame. the new tail piece doesnt cover much. but ill figure it out soon. only took a few hours to do it all. i put the 02(i think) led tail light on it cuz its flat. i didnt want to use the 07s cuz theyre too big. i woulda had to raise the tail too high to get it under there. the whole thing so far has only cost bout 2hundred. when i get time ill upload more pics and a walkthrough for anyone who wants to do this.

ok i trimmed the exhauste 1 inch as much as i could with the stock pipe, but im guna get a shorter piece made. i need some ideas where to put my tag, its hitting my wheel when i get on hard. i cant put it all the way up under the tail itll do the same thing, and i dont really want it on the swingarm, but let me know your thoughts on it. and if anybody has a pc3 they wana sell let me know.

well the seats not that bad, when i got my fz i thought the seat on it was uncomfortable, but it broke in nice. the r1 seat feels about the same, i may have it padded a lil bit, not sure though. i had to make mounts for the front seat and i had the bck seat bolted down but i changed it when i got back. i took the stock latch off of my fz seat and put it on the r1 seat so now it locks on with the stock latches i didnt move anything on the frame for the lock to work ill get sum pics up in a couple hours.

the mounts for the front seat are welded in kinda hard to see theyre at the edge of the plastic the front slides in the stock seat mount, the side pannels have nuts welded to the frame and bushings to keep em at the height they need to be. the pipe on the tail is to raise the plastic seemed like the best way at the time without tryin to bend the frame up, its 1 1/4'' they dont need to be long cuz it puts stress on the plastic when its tightened down. i welded nuts to the pipe an drilled a hole on each side of the plastic to hold it (where the skull stickers are) it is temporary till i figure somthin else out. buts works just fine, just an isor. the tool storage has to become the wire storage as theres nowhere else to put them where they wont be seen or in the way. the rear seat slides under a tab and locks back in the original seat lock.
