I don't know of anyone who has done it on these forums, but from everything I've heard, the general consensus is that the signals aren't bright and noticeable enough with the integrated tail and signal mirrors. Most everyone keeps the signals they have and use the mirrors and tail light signals to supplement the regular signals.

I'm with you. Often, I think, motorcyclists (including me) will try 'clean up' the look of a bike by either installing flush-mounted signals, mirror signals, or intergrated signals... I tried flushmounts and signal mirrors...not worth it.

Just as you should wear your gear FOR THE FALL, not the ride, you should also realize that the signal's job is to SIGNAL other people for the sake of safe passing. You want other people to see those signals. Larger, brighter, spread out signals may not look that good, but they work better to keep you alive.

Your best bet is get superbright LEDs all the way around. Remember, every time you put your signal on, you're asking drivers around you to see you and not kill you...why compromise that with smaller/less visible signals?

I have flushmounts up front and have an integrated taillight in the rear. I rode it just this way for a little while but like everyone said, it really isn't bright enough. It also doesn't help that the turn signals on the taillight are right next to each other, with the taillight alone cagers get confused about which side is blinking. I added on some regular rear signals and run them together now. I still just have the flushmounts up front but am planning on putting some pod lights in. I also changed the regular incandescent bulbs in the rear turn signals to superbright LEDs.

fzme, can you post a couple of pictures of those just showing them on the bike? I've actually been looking at those exact ones for a little bit and I'd love to know what they look like on the bike.

Here you go. As you can see, I mounted them with a bracket on the bottom of my convertibars. It looks kind of oafy with the wires sticking downward, but it's not so bad. You could easily twist them around or run the wires more inward, or through the bars if you want to drill a small hole. Any small bracket like the ones I have will do you fine, but there are other options for mounting. The only limit of possibilities is your imagination. I would go for it if I were you. They are smaller and brighter than the stockers, and there are multiple mounting options.

fzme, the "bulbs" that are used in those lights look like the led lights you find for the tail light. Would that be correct, if you know what I'm talking about?

In other words, it would be easy to change out the bulbs if something happened to one. Just a push in and twist motion and out it comes.

I looked closely at the little bulbs, and unfortunately they are fused together. You may be able to chisel an individual bulb out, but I'm not sure if you could replace it. I'm not an electrician though, so the only I can say for sure is that they are fused together.
