Yamaha is the maker. The link is a 2007-2009 version. Since you both have 2006's... it will fit.

The seat is on the bike in my signature picture. It is for all years FZ6 (not sure why Yamaha's site says 07-09 because that is the part number I ordered). I will ship anywhere as long as you pay for it. It is large and heavy.

I do like the seat but am not sure I need an aftermarket seat as I can ride a full tank without stopping on the stock seat. I need to liquidate some funds for other "wants" right now.

It is similar in fitment to the stock seat except there is more of a pocket for your butt and it has gel padding. The leather on it is much nicer than the stock seat. Also, the passenger seat is much more comfortable (my reason for buying it) but my wife hasn't any interest in riding anymore. So.... I'm gonna buy something I want.

I'm very tempted to buy this immediately if it's still for sale. I have one question about it though, I live in AZ and I've heard that these can get way hotter than stock seats when sitting in the sun. My bike generally doesn't sit outside for very long but is this something I should be worried about?

The gel does hold heat, but the only times I have noticed it being too hot is after the bike sat in the sun for several hours. What is your zip code so I can figure out what shipping would cost?
