Rewired. Won't start. Shoot me in face please.

Or you could just man up and ride it out. Just keep upshifting everytime you hit the limiter.

Then when it is convenient just turn off the bike, put her in neutral and coast to a nice easy stop from top 6th gear all the way down....that's how a REAL man would do it.

or you could ham fist the front brake and do a stoppie all the way down then take your left hand off the bar and turn off the key. This seems much safer than using the kill switch.

ooo ooo or you could start skitching (skiing behind the bike) until you felt confident you can ski it out, then left go completely and watch how cool your bike looks and how fast it accelerates when there isn't a heavy human on it's back.

Hello, for those of you who don't know me I am Lone from SuperTech Auto. I take simple ordinary tasks and blow them wayyyyyy out of proportion.

For example, the other day I was trying to adjust my chain (the first time I had done it myself personally). Rather than follow the simple and clear instructions, I plowed ahead and eventually proceeded to having virtually the entire rear wheel removed.

Well, I eventually got it all put together and had a nice ride after it all.

But nowwwww, I've decided to put my fairing back together until I can FINALLY afford to do all the 30 mods I want to do a month or two down the line.

So I disconnected all the wires, and put the fairing back on and now the bike is in this state:

1) Fairings are half on and dangling.

2) Bike wont start.

3) All wires connected in the right way (I think) they all are in the things that fit them and lined up nicely.

4) Display lights up when I turn key, but bike doesn't make the "whirring" noise and then when I press the starter button nothing happens, even tho the display is lit up).

5) Horn works.

6) Honk honk. See? Horn works.

I should mention I had some water get in from the tape I had around it that had some rainwater still in there (and maybe the fact I washed the front half of the bike while the wires were all disconnected).

Is there some magic breaker or fuse I can just reset to make it work again?

Help meeeeeeeeeeeeee.
:(

I'm pretty sure that was you on 107th Ave last night...

1) Fairings are half on and dangling. Yup, still half off, where's the windshield man?

2) Bike wont start. Obviously got it figured out, you were on it, it was moving and the Scorps didn't appear to be obnoxious. ;)

3) All wires connected in the right way (I think) they all are in the things that fit them and lined up nicely. You weren't blinking going down the street, so this must have been done right. :cheer:

4) Display lights up when I turn key, but bike doesn't make the "whirring" noise and then when I press the starter button nothing happens, even tho the display is lit up). What's that red switch on the right side of my handlebar? :spank: :rtfm: :D

5) Horn works. Did not confirm this, you contemplated, then decided to give the "biker wave".

6) Honk honk. See? Horn works. I don't doubt that your skill to imitate the sound of a Yami horn is ace.

Glad you got it sorted out.

Cheers!

Well this certainly turned in to a fun thread! Chain gun on the kill switch? Did I read that right? LOL!

So I am looking though Google images for a funny picture to post of a motorcycle with a machine gun attached when I happened upon this real ram mount attachment and just had to share..

Meant for off road vehicles but you just know someone will try it on the street. Sorry to veer this tread even more off topic but I figured hey why not it will take everyone mind off the embarrassing kill switch incident.:D

LOL

Indeed. Fairing is now more firmly connected, but I left the windshield off just because there was no chance of rain really and under all the gear the extra wind is nice.

I really can't wait to go properly naked, but in the meantime the no-windshield simulates it well enough.
