Getting ready for the new riding season, I knew that one of the snaps in my Scorpion EXO-1000 helmet had broken off sometime last year. The black button side of the snap was rolling around in my helmet between the styrofoam liner and the shell which periodically jammed my internal visor, but didn't know that at the time.
I know there are some people on the forum who are using the EXO-1000 helmet and thought I would pass this along. Anyway a trip to my local dealership over the winter, I was able to pick up a replacement snap.
While I was there, I asked them how to change it out and the guy showed me. Did you know that the inner styrofoam liner is frictioned fitted and comes out?
Here it is pulled out which made replacing the snap a snap.....
Just remember, it's styrofoam, so go easy on it.
