Lets Talk NFL Playoffs.....

It was a nail biter, but the Saints finally won!! YIPPEE!!! So do you think Favre will retire again??? :D

That was a tragedy the likes of which humanity has never experienced before.

Why?

How do you fumble with both hands on the ball like that?

:shakehead:

As for the rest of the year , im thinking the Colts & Saints will play it out in a close one...

And i picked it a few weeks ago :D after my Packers bowed out.......I so hope the Saints win the Bowl for the City , State and the fine people of Louisiana , well done you deserved it....

deserved it? by putting up 77 yards of offense in the 2nd half, failing to play defense as favre marched up and down the field, and then stumbling into field goal range solely off penalties and terrible calls?

Man was that a nail bighter! Loved the over time except for the consatant reviews. Love my TVO more.

I'd like to see the Saints make it so we can't call them the Aint's anymore but those little horses are going to be tough to beat.

Awwww do i detect a Viqueens fan :BLAA: , that City has been to HELL & back these last few years an from an Aussie point of view they deserved it , just an Aussie's opinion if for what it worth...

they had a good season, but they did not win that game. the vikings lost it.

im just a huge bret favre fan i think he is amazing for many reasons. yes i have a man crush on him. haha. but he is just magic on the field. he deserved a superbowl appearance after all he did this year and for his great career to put another feather in his cap. not to go out like that. his team let him down. he was getting knocked silly all game long due to poor pass protection and his supporting cast turned the ball over 6 times after he had driven them down the field. winning the superbowl would have cemented him in as a legend, if he isnt already.

so....yeah, i do not think the saints "deserve" to be in the superbowl. i dont care if they were 13-3 in the regular season. in the playoffs its all fresh. their 13-3 start earned them the home field advantage though the playoffs......not a superbowl appearance.

and hurricanes dont win football games. sure katrina adds to the city's pride in its team and the teams winning gives them a rallying point to celebrate coming out of some dark times....but that doesnt mean they "deserve" anything on the football field. the football field is hallowed ground and you only earn what you earn on the field. it is free of all politics and social forces. any non-football affairs have no role on the field.

if hurricane katrina had happened this year every other team playing against the saints would have been playing just as hard against them no matter what.

just my opinion, of course.

Lone, I hear you that no one deserves to win the Superbowl but it is fun to cheer on the underdog.

Never thought I'd say this but GO SAINTS!

What was Favre thinking during that last play in reg time? All he had to do, instead of throwing that interception, was advance the ball by carrying (it was clear!) to well within field goal range. Vikings had another timeout in the bank to set up the winning field goal play. What a huge mental-error mistake.
