Almost 10,000 members

As of this time when I created this thread, this forum is 89 members away from reaching 10,000 members!

Wonder how long it will take to reach this milestone? And who will be the member, will it be a he or she? Will they be a dud or a contributor?

It would be for Dennis. When he created this site, I don't think he ever imagined that it would get to this many members. I remembered when this forum had less than 100 members. So 10,000 is incredible.

Maybe I'm going crazy but I thought I remembered the user number being displayed back when I joined. What happened to that, or am I remembering something that was never there?

it is pretty easy to see the user number. Just hover your mouse over the username of the person in question and look in the taskbar. the link shows the user number.

for example. I was hovering over mxgolf's username in this screenshot

But I thought Vegasrider was member number 35... he says so in his signature. Which one is correct? Have you been putting us on this whole time, Vegasrider? haha

I am number 5343 and I joined in October 2008, not much more than a year ago, so the membership has rocketed in the last year.

I just simply went the Members List, clicked on the Joint Date Tab up at the top and it sorted all the members by join date. I just simply counted down until I got to me, which was 35. Don't know where the 83 comes from.

Maybe I should just split the two.

that is current members. What that means is you were 83rd to join but 48 members have since cancelled their accounts. Numbers in a board aren't reused or changed and so you remain user 83.

What is amazing to me is how many members joined in 2008.

Wow, close to 10,000!! I am 767, and I joined in October of '07. Does not seem that long ago. Site has really taken off in the past 2 years! I'm glad the tone has not changed here at all, still a very friendly and helpful forum.:thumbup:
