Well they have the room ready. We are going to sign the new lease for that place today I believe. One of my roommates is being a pain in the ass right now.

But on another extreamly pissed off note. The apt beside my girlfriend, she lives in the same complex, got robbed at 1 this afternoon. The owner of the apt is a marine and he was coming home as they were walking out with his stuff. One was headed down the stairs the other was headed to my girlfriends place. (The marines door was locked when he left) The marine went after one of them, my friends that live below my g/f, chased the other guy down.

This all happens after two robberies happened the week of halloween. The first one, the robbers confronted one of my roommates and I as they were walking around the complex. We were looking at his new car and they started walking towards us, in ski masks (it was halloween) when I said something to them, and they walked away. Then another armed robbery later that week. Our apts are gated, the gates never worked. So they spent all this money and got the gates working, however they only close them at night, and the side gates to walk through facing campus are always open!

So all this and then a broad daylight robbery when the gates stand wide open, and the guys that did this, drove in. So when I walked to the office today to get things straight with the room stuff, I asked the manager if they were going to shut the gates now with the robbery that just happened. She said " We are looking into options" I said, "options, your only option is to keep that gate shut and to have a gaurd in there at all times."
"Sir, we are looking into options right now." and she walked away.

Needless to say I am not the happiest camper about the situation. My girlfriend is going to break the lease she signed for next year. The apt is going to try to charge them for it, however I have feeling there will be a lawsuit over that....we will see.

Thats terrible. After the break ins there should be security every were. I had breakins at my apartment for a while and now cops drive through here like crazzy. I hope it gets better for Ya'll

We have been moving since 6:30 this afternoon. Two of the four guys and part of our living room is now in the new place.

We had one hell of a argument/yelling match with the regional manager today. My mom came down as well and it got pretty ugly. I will explain more later, however I am about dead here and Im going to bed. I will having something up tomorrow.

Well my computer has messed up somehow. Over night my comp updated and I can no longer get on through explorer. I have internet, I can get on AIM, I just cant go through webpages. Anyway though, we have all moved in now, there are still some odds and ends in the old place we need to get out.

The office staff have agreed to give us each 100 bucks for the situation. Given the price of gas and work missed, I have asked for 250. We will see where it goes. (Our rent is 400 a month, the least they should honestly do is 400, but I doubt to see that.)

We have been trying to contact the owner of the company for the past week. Leaving him countless voicemails and emails, and we still wait on a response. I am starting to get a bit upset again over the whole situation. Our new room is handicap accesable. I will get some pictures of the place and put them up as soon as I get internet back up. In some ways the changes are nice, in other ways it is quite annoying.

Thats a shame that this situation is still not resolved, as far as the computer you can restore it to a previous point (a couple days ago) and it should work fine again.

Haha, o my imagination is just too good!!! The photo's dont look too bad now!! I was imagining quite a considerable amount of water, the walls look ok if ya ask me, its very possible they are alot worse in real life and the camera just doesn't do the damage justice.

I do hope you get things sorted with it...You shouldn't be breaking a lease if the apartment is not fit to live in, its the landlord's fault for the damage caused... best of luck with it!

It was worse in person, that and the freaking smell. If only cameras could pick that up...you could sent scratch and sniff images. flood.sniffpeg, lol
