Montezuma Ride - 12/26 - pics + video

It was FREEZING in the morning... low 40's... Cali rider (on the FZ6 in the video) and I almost turned around after riding for a while, but then the sun came out and it became bearable.

Love that it's belt driven, has clear tank and the jardine under the bike - very cool. Used to have a jardine on our Daytona 675 - sounded great. :Flash:

Thanks Cliff. Definitely going to be taking it easy at first as it'll be a solid 2 months start-to-finish before I get decent riding in since my surgery 4 weeks ago. Going to be a bit rusty and mentally unsteady with this shoulder. But the STriple is so easy to ride, I doubt it'll be a problem. You think to lean, and before you actually lean, the bike is already pulling you over through a turn. It's amazing.

When I'm off my bike for a week I give myself time to settle back in. Just take it easy and you'll be back in the groove on no time.
Love your bike! It looks bad a$$ and bet it rocks in performance and handling.
After riding with CaliRider and Wavex, I want to change out my tires to the BT 016's My 021's don't have the stick I'd like to have, especially in the cooler weather. The last time we were out I was able to see how they were getting nicer curl in the rubber than I was getting on the 021's.

Montezuma is a great road this time of year because the tarmac can be a few degrees warmer because of the morning sun and being on the desert side of the mountains. It's a favorite and pretty close to other great roads to ride.
