Currently -15 °C :disapprove:

Nice pic.i know it must be a PITA but at least you get "propper weather" and at least you know what to expect ..here in jolly old blighty its usually rain ..and then when the snow does come the whole country grinds to a halt

Got as far as South London last week then it turned to sheet ice.
Luckily I was only10 minutes from my mums house so I left it there and walked 4 miles to get home.
Weather is better now and Im am still riding most days ;)

After 10 days of being snowbound we had a thaw on Christmas Eve so I headed out for a spin. It was 5 degrees here on the coast, but once I'd got a couple of miles inland I started to see snow on the fields. 10 miles inland it dropped to -1 and got a bit icy. I decided enough was enough and rode home very gingerly.

4 degrees and showers here today so I might head out again later on.

Holy mackerel, it's cold out there.

I was fine for the first 20 minutes or so, but then my feet went numb (two pairs of thermal army socks, Goretex-lined boots), I lost all sensation in my thumbs (OK, HG Pathans are good, but not perfect) and I think I've got frostbite on my chin from cracking the visor open to stop it steaming up (time for a pinlock I think).

It says it's 3 degrees, but that Northeasterly wind and the drizzle make it feel much, much colder.

Souther NH is about 13F. Yesterday was brutal 12F with -7 windchill.

It's sunny out and I'm hoping a lot of ice melts/evaporates and maybe (just maybe) I can do a little riding. Supposed to be 28F this afternoon -- much better than the 12F.

Dennis

ps. oops, this is supposed to be UK -- my bad.

Not fun weather at all here in Cambs - my car has been going sideways enough to warn me from jumping on to two wheels. Miss my bike now though.. my last ride was 2 weeks ago and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. Being off the bike makes me think more.. and I don't know about you guys but I find thinking expensive!

This was all we had today..a hours worth at most..got the phone call from the
school 10mins after..we been promised about 14 hours worth from 8pm tonight

We were hammered with snow on Saturday and Sunday. Almost 30" of snow in about 36 hours. I plow snow for side work and I was more than a little busy. That's good news though. It helps pay for the summertime fun! I have three bikes in the basement and whenever I get the winter blues I go down there, turn up the heat, turn on Isle of Man reruns and polish them up (again). Summer will be here soon enough.

It's about a foot and a half here in Surrey.
Sitting here at the Eye clinic I work at on my Jack Jones.
Been no one in for two days and if I didn't have to maintain the Equipment nor would I!
Thank god for the Jeep. It's about the only time of year I can justify the 10-15 mpg

Well it's my second day of walking 3 miles to work and it was a bit chilly when I left home this morning . . . .

I did try to drive yesterday but got stuck getting the car off the drive and had to dig the car out to get it back on the drive . . .

I'm so glad the Fazer is tucked up nice and warm in the shed with the battery charger :D

Take care everyone
