The temperature of the bulb color should not have any impact on the 35W power draw as far as I know. The ballasts supply the hi voltage necessary to ignite the xenon lamps and then lower voltage to maintain them once they are on.:thumbup:

So the ballasts are the shinny part inside the angel eyes right? Can you use hids without the ballasts, or do you need to do the whole set up like yours and bonemans?

No. The ballasts are not internal to the projector units. They are external units that control and limit the amount of current.

Total kit for hi/lo HID conversion for an FZ6 would need to include: 1 H4 HID projector, 1 H7 HID projector, 2 controllers, 2 ballasts.

The HID kits from NewComDigi come with either 2 H7 projectors or 2 H4 projectors. You need one of each type from these kits - hence, the splitting of kits with another FZ6 owner. These kits come with the bi-xenon bulbs (6000k temp usually) inside the projector HID housings already. The HID housings also have built in angel eyes (with the color you order it in). The kit also includes the two controllers for the hi/lo beam function and angel eye operation. The only separate item needed is the 2 ballasts (either slim or regular will work) to supply direct power to the HIDs.
