ok, so i have an o8 fz6 and i got the larger wind screen from calsci, and i love it. it makes commuting so nice. but now, I have this crazy vibration that is pretty constant until about 90mph, btwn 90 and say 95, it goes away of course my attention is more on the idiot drivers then my hands, so i think it goes away.

anyone else have the calsci windscreen with this problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks!!! :Flash:

Also try relaxing your hands on the grips, elbows able to wiggle like the chicken dance.

A bar snake may help you to though. Its just lead in a tube. Or I have heard of people filling the bar with silocone caulk.

I just relax and it solves.

You can go to a general sporting good store that has diving equipment and buy bagged weight.

It's tiny lead bb's that you can pour into your handlebars to add weight and eliminate atleast 50% of the bad vibes.

Trust me it is definitely worth the effort.

If the vibrations are only there at a small area in the rev range its unlikely its causing your hand to go numb, its more likely bad posture/grip. Definately try relaxing and checking your hold as wrightme43 said.

thanks, I'll take heed to everything in the order i got it until i get rid of the bad vib.

I try not to have a death grip on the bars when i'm riding, but ya'll know how those things go!!!

I also have the big calsci. don't think that contributes to handlebar vibration - it's not even attached to the handlebar. That's just normal for this bike, is my belief. Probably nothing wrong with the bike - seems pretty common for people to get numb hands unless they do something about it.

I put on a pair of gell type grips to replace the rock hard stock grips. The new grips absorbe a lot of the vibration.

As many have said before me, sounds like you have to relax your grip a bit. I often rest my fingers on the break/clutch levers to stretch out my hands as I ride.
