Vmax gas fillup question

I drove my friend to pick up his new vmax tonight. Bike is really sweet. its a 96 with 24k miles on it. He stopped in the gas station and you have to lift a flap on the aftermarket corbin seat to get the the neck filler but the damn thing is so far recessed it made for a 2 man job to fill the tank! it was getting dark and we had to use a flashlight too but how the hell are you supposed to fill this beast with ease? Hes going to have to carry a funnel? That would be absurd.

Who wants to remove the seat to get gas? I highly doubt its a quick release type of seat but i will ask him, thanks.
