Yesterday I made a comment and stuck my foot in my mouth. I apologize for saying the bike is ugly. I should of just said, that naked bikes are not my taste. All in all take it for what it's worth and thanks to all the veteran riders for the good advice over the past 2 months. I might just leave the forum to keep the peace. Take care everyone..... Ride safe and enjoy.....

now I wouldnt go and leave over this. So you made a post you regret... most everyone has done that at one time or another. just forget about it and move on. No one was truly hurt by anything you said.

I think you should stay aboard.

Nah - he should leave!!!!!

Sorry, I regret that post. I should not have made it.....

See? You're allowed to make mistakes. Just so long as you learn!

Anyone who was truly offended by your post should get a life....forums are like the radio, if you don't like what's playing.....change the channel.

Stick around.......we are all riders first!:Flash:

Thanks for stepping forward. Well done!

No need to leave, just give your posts a few re-reads before you submit and ask yourself, "Will this hurt?" ;)

:noworries:

I do remember your post but didn't follow the Thread. Sounds like your not the only one who flew off the handle. I think it was very wise and humble for you to offer an apology. I also hope that other people who might have gone a little over board to do the same.

I hope you don't leave and everyone accepts your apology. I do... :)

I think that because this community is online and not face to face its easier to say things that you will regret saying later because you're not talking to someone directly. Now not to say this is also a good thing because by typing something you are able to see what you are saying and edit your words before someone sees them. Personally I think everyone is entitled to an opinion about anything, be it against someone else's opinion or not, but I also think that some of these opinions are better kept to ourselves to avoid negative outcomes. I don't think you should leave over one "foot in mouth" situation as I know that most of us have had these moments at one time or another. Stepping up and apologizing for saying something that may have offended someone is good enough for me.

We all do things we regret from time to time - the important thing is that you stepped up and apologized. I have a pretty thick skin and don't get offended easily - especially about something insignificant. Stick around - we were all just starting to get to know you.

Edit: By the way, I'm secure in the knowledge that my bike is hot! You are entitled to your opinion and me to mine. :)

I read that post and didn't really think anything of it. I obviously like the looks of the FZ6, that's why I bought it. I didn't buy a different bike because I thought a lot of them were ugly. Everyone has their opinion. No offense taken here.

No biggie for just saying your opinion! Different strokes for different folks. I didn't like my FZ6 as much as I did once I installed the lowers!

There was a time i thought dual purpose dirt bikes were dumb.

Then as I put on more kilometres on a motorcycle I started to appreciate them more, even without having ridden them. Just visualizing riding on them made me see the draws.

There was a time i thought completely naked bikes didnt look good.

Then I rode a motorcycle and started to feel the soul of the machine. Now when I see a naked bike I become aroused.

There was a time I thought touring motorcycles were lame and for 80 year olds.

Then I started touring and grew a great appreciation for the machines that can clock miles like no other.

There was a time I thought of adventure bikes as inbred mules.

Then on some longer trips I started imagining what it would be like to take the roads less travelled and turn off the highways.

.............starting to see a trend? Every motorcycle has the power to fulfill a human life. The more you ride the more you will realize the accuracy of that statement. Image is nothing. The ride is everything.

P.S. even then....the FZ6R is pretty lame.....

ROFL jk man. stick around, ur a good chap. would hate to see you go.

Yo smooth, good on you for offering an apology. But leaving? Nah, c'mon, stick around.

You still ride an FZ6, right? And this is an FZ6 forum, right? So you had a dust-up. Bah. Welcome to the club. We're a better community with you than without.

I didn't even know there was a shouting match going on. How clueless am I..? (don't answer that)

i read smooth's posting history then read the posts of other members that quoted his posts to figure out what happened.

I am a ninja.

Lord i hope people here aren't really that touchy.

I think my bike (fz6) is amazing, but I've had a one friend tell me they think it's ugly.
Other people really like how it looks.

Who cares. It's personal taste.
And you can't argue with how it rides.

Not everyone in the world is supposed to see things exactly the same way

Man don't sweat it. I'm not a fan of fully naked bikes very much either. Who cares? no one. It's my opinion. That being said, I'm probably going to go naked since my bro dropped my bike and I know it will eventually grow on me. No need to try and please everyone here. Different strokes for different folks.

Now stay and enjoy the company.

Nah, wait till Dennis kicks you off the forum....:spank:

It's Cool...

I have an FZ6

My Last Bike was a Ninja 500

and

I own a 2002 Chevy Impala

All this and I wasn't offended. Oh by the way all the above is true. I couldn't stop laughing about that as I read the "offending thread":rof:

Just promise you will look the other way when I do the foot in the mouth thing, I'm sure its just a matter of time.:D
