I had buried this on another thread, but thought I'd try here. Does anyone know the weight of the stock can vs. aftermarket, such as scorpion? Thanks for your help.

if u had 2fz6's one rider 300lbs the other 150 whos got the better power to weight ratio?
If you remove the cat as well, with a aftermarket exhaust its a pretty good saving in weight.
it's a huge saving in weight...wish i had scales here, as i have a OEM set of cans sitting here...

Weight is a factor...about 10+ years ago my father-in-law and I had identical Harley Sportster 883's. We would trade off on rides and I would allways out pull him on ethier bike...he was about 70-80lbs heavier. Just my 2-cents. :rockon:
Weight does make a difference. When I prepped my bike for the track I was able to remove about 18 lbs off the bike and that was after the exhaust was installed, so about 24 to 26 lbs total. The bike was much more flickable an just easier to ride fast. The overall center of gravity was lower which contributed to the flickability.
If I recall correctly a loss of 7 lbs = 1 hp.
