Painful injury - self inflicted

I was tightening the chain on my honda at the weekend and just putting the split clip back with a pair of pliers, slipped and pinched the 2nd finger on my left hand. Had a nice blood blister. Mate of mine came over and after a few beers we thought it would be a good idea to lance it with a needle 'sterilised' in a flame.

And now it's infected. Just went for a short spin to the shop and ow ow ow. I can't use the clutch without mega pain. I tried to adjust to just using my index finger but can't get the hang of that.

Doctor? Takes over 7 days to get an appointment here by which point it should be back to normal!

that doesn't look overly infected.

take a cotton swab with some Hydrogen Peroxide and clean it, toss some Neosporin on a bandaid and cover it up while you sleep. Let it air while you're hanging around the house and cover it if you plan on doing any work with grease/dirt/etc.

Should be fine in a day or two.

True about hydrogen peroxide. This will work great, also just pop with the needle, and let the liquid run out. Put some hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcholol and you should be good to go with in a day or two. Just keep very clean and sterile for the next couple of days.

got a killer blood blister putting my GIVI box on 2 weeks ago... I didn't lance it and I keep thinking I have ink on my hand...

Go to a doctor... Finger infections can be tricky sometimes...

friday i sliced my little finger in work, it required stitches ,weekend riding was hard work using the clutch,holding the grip and having my pinky sticking straight out in the wind

PS my father in law did the sewing (he's a doctor) ..its at times like that i hope likes his son in law..lol..no anastetic and 2 random stabs (he called them readjustments) i got my answer :spank:

I used to feel sick after riding mine but it never caused me injury

Dude, you never unroof a blister unless the pressure builds up in it to the point of causing pain. Unroofing a blister exposes it to infection, as you've notably discovered. Keep it as clean as possible, use Neosporin/Polysporin, band-aid. If it gets worse, see your physician for antibiotics.

Drink beer until you can't feel feelings.
