Help! Error 1 and Hi temp display when riding. Urgent! Thanks!

Hi guys,

I am having an electronical issue with my fazer 600 2008 model.
It gives me intermittent Error 1 code where the mileage counter is at while riding.
At times the temp shows a HI with the red and orange light at the bottle right flashing and the tachometer just drops to 0, all happening at the same time while riding at speed.

After 3-5 seconds, the tachometer would pop back up to my current RPM (all this while cruising at 100kmh).

Any idea what the issue is? I have brought it to my dealers and they claim that it could be due to an immobilizer issue.
This raises 2 questions.
1. Shouldn't the bike not be able to start even?
2. Shouldnt the bike shut off while riding? ( Engine and all seems fine, its just the meter showing either the Error1 or the Hi temp,with the red+orange lights and meter drops, then it goes back to normal after 3-5 seconds)
I can still ride as normal and accelerate. no power loss whatsoever.

Any help appreciated.

regardless of what they claim the issue is they should fix it, being an 08 it should still be under warranty correct?

Apparently not.
Singapore's warrenty is only 6 months or 6,000km, whichever comes first.
I'm just over a year and 2 weeks with 26,000kms on it.

Anyone with any clues?

Well check the grounds, and check the wires. If you are not up to speed on doing that, the best thing would be to pay diagnostic time to your shop and let them figure it out.

six months?? god almighty...mine is 24 months!
