I think it's fricking awesome that you found someone on our FZ forum to go to a dealership (a HARLEY DEALERSHIP AT THAT!) in a completely different state that you've never met face to face (I assume) for you and check out a bike that you were going to buy to make sure it's alright, and even take pictures of it for you.

Just goes to show what kinda bunch are on this forum.

Oh I agree, our Forum is unlike any other. I've never met Davidsa1 before but he was so kind to offer to check it out for me. Very cool dude.

As I said I'm not going anywhere. Besides if I can't get the price I want for the FZ I'll keep it and my wife will ride it. Although she is a Harley cruiser girl at heart. (yeah I know, she's slowing coming around to the notion of getting a nice USED Ninja 250 to begin with)

I honestly feel that if I was traveling to pretty any place in the world I could look a Forum member up and visit for a bit. I've met about 12 to 15 people and everyone of them has been a great individual. Contrast this to the bicycle world and I've met more primadonna jackasses over the years.

The same is true about Pete, great guy in person and a great contributor to the forum. Hope to see you as active and helpful even when you don't own the FZ! sorry :hijack:
 
Well I signed the papers today and FEDEX'd them back. The shipper will arrive sometime this week at the dealership and I'd guess I'll receive the bike sometime next week. I can hardly wait.

I'm going to take it to AF1 Racing and have it broken in on the dyno and run a baseline map on it and see if Micah can dial in the FI where the factory hasn't got it perfect yet.

I've got a few mods in mind. 1) Corbin saddle, 2) 1 inch lower footpegs for street, 3) Muffler - Drummer once it is complete or Belly Pan to hide the butt-ass-ugly muffler, 3) FE Kit, 4) Grand Tour hand grips, 5) New tank bag as the new "tank" is a plastic air box cover.

Oh yeah, trackday on the 27th. If I'm comfortable on the bike I'd like to get a few laps in. :D

Nice Bike mate .:thumbup: .How does a Texas dude end up getting Bike in Florida ? Local shop have ties with dealership in Florida or just shopped around and there was the best deal?
