Very cool and welcome. We all know, even the Red, Black, Silver, White with Orange stripe, etc, etc owners, that blue, regardless of shade/hue, makes your bike 10% faster.

oh no... you are opening that can of worms.... there are basically 2 philosophies about breaking it in, neither will back down, so i will summarize them.

1.) follow the manual to the letter,
2.) change the oil at 300 miles 600 miles, 1500 miles, then every 3000 beyond that while riding it as hard as you would normally, Break it in as you will be using it.

I did a hybrid, i rode it fairly nicely but also changed the oil early as well.

Wow, have been a member of Australian Kawasaki Riders Forum - Powered by vBulletin and was worried that if I didn't buy the Z750 then I'd be joining a forum that wouldn't be half as friendly and fun as the Kawa one. Seems I've stumbled on another great group of people. Thanks for the welcome. I think I'll stick to the manual, but will be hard as we've got a three-day trip planned for this weekend, including some pretty hilly bits. Hopefully there will be plenty of great pics to post when we get back.:thumbup:
