Wolf's crash damage!!!!!!

Hate to see your beautiful bike like that but I'm just glad you're alright mate

Yep, got the plaster off this morning, dont even need to wear a Moon Boot...can walk unaided, and wear normal shoes, boots!!!!

Awesome result!!!!!! now some good news for the bike next wednesday to match that, and i will be back on the road real soon! Even if only on my Ducati, for a bit.

Hey, all these things, other than the ego, can be easily replaced/repaired. Just glad you're around to do it!

Think of it as an opportunity to do some of those other mods in mind.

All the best

Ok, today a good buddy, who also is a riding buddy, and a mechanic, Gary....came around to have a look at my bike.....6 hours later, i know have a straight bike!!!!!!

Gary very expertly bent the Rear set & shift rod back to straight. No visble sign's of stress, and everything is working just as it was before the crash!

:D

Gary also took the back end off, and straightened the rear sub frame, FE, etc, and got everything back to square.

was only minimally twisted, and more than anything, it had moved on the sub frame mounts...the bolts where the subframe connects to the frame were quite loose when we went o untighten them, and the whole subframe had shifted forward, and up in the mounts! Is now all better.

:D

We also took off the Bars, and all the stuff hanging off them, all i need now to be able to ride the bike, is a new set of bars, which i will get and fit tomorrow, along with a new mirror, and a set of new grips....until i can find out at least whether i can buy the Oxford heated grips control box seperately ( was smashed in crash)

Still need to fix the engine case scratch, and fit fork sliders to cover the scuff at bottom of left fork leg. They are still on back order.

On the downside, when we removed the tank bra, we found 5 dents in the tank....none are serious, and at least 2 of them should pop straight back out...no paint was broken, so for now, i am just going to leave the tank bra on the bike, and worry about that stuff a bit later...

Main thing is, i am nearly mobile, thanks to the expertise of a decent buddy, who probably saved me at least $500 in labour costs alone.

Wow, what a day!

Also with the scuffed Oggy Knob (Crash Slider) i am just going to take the rubber off it, and reverse it on the stem, scuff instantly gone!!! Will sand the scuff to smooth though before doing.

Bike still has a fair way to go before it is back to how i would like it, but it's a lot better than it was.

Sweet Jamie, looks like brand new again.

That first shot is awful, and the second one is dead straight... Well done, give Gaz a big pat on the back... And a couple of beers :rof:

Was chatting to him tonight about the tank, the tank-bra hadn't been off until now, didn't really think about damage to the tank, no scuff marks or anything, just you hitting it in the incident. Like you said, the Bra covers it, so can be dealt with later.

:)

Nice! You gotta love a quick and inexpensive fix. Most importantly I'm glad to hear the foot it working well. Kinda difficult to replace toes.

Today has been such a fantastic day, after a couple of less than fun weeks....gotta tell you, the power of positive thought is amazing...as are great (useful) buddies, and i am surrounded by a good bunch of those....

What Gary did today was just brilliant....

Bike still has a fair way to go to be "pristine" again, but it wont take me long, am all over it, now that i can actually think straight, and move around....

^^^ That's is okay, as least you'll be back riding soon and not miss the warm weather riding season.

I think Stumbles thinks i am huts for wanting to ride with my ankle the way it is...but hey, i have managed to carry on like an idiot on stage for 8 hours in the last 2 days, and it seems to be holding up...at least the blood clot has not had a chance to stagnate!

hehe, I just don't want to see you in more trouble down the track.

Be great to see you back on it again, but I don't want you being a cripple later on... ya gotta keep riding with me for a lot of years yet

Dont stress dude, i already am a cripple...arthritis, bad back, bad hip, etc, am surprisingly fit despite all this...have always found the key to keeping my body moving is to stay as active as possible...especially with the arhritis....move it, or lose it, is'nt that what they say?

Yup. I subscribe to the same theory. I'm not moving in the hope that I'll lose some weight, but it seems to be a complete failure::confused:WTF?:D

Farmers Union Iced Coffee...it's evil....cause you end up drinking about 6 a day...or i do, and it goes straight to the hips!
