After thinking about it for years, I finally got my 2006 FZ6 in blue today.

I am so happy. I got a lot to learn being a first time rider.

Congrats and :welcome: to the club!!!

I got the exact same one a few months ago. Over 10 000 miles on the clock? Wow, I was lucky to only have 500km (~300 miles) on mine.

I hope you enjoy it!!

Oh, check your bolts, especially the 2 holding the fender eliminator kit, the two above the rear signal lights tucked next to the mufflers, it's a 10mm bolt. The collar cost ~$5 and the bolt ~$2 each if you lose them.

Ride safe!

:welcome: to the site man. I am new two been riding for 5 months now and love it. I wish I had started when i was much younger. Good luck and take care.

Hey, congratulations on the new ride and welcome.

It's a good thing that you got the slower blue one, since you're a new rider and all... :D

This is a great group of people, very knowledgeable and willing to help out. Just get used to using the search before asking questions -- it'll help to keep you from getting flamed.

Again, welcome. Ride safe.

Congrats and welcome. You're going to love it. Learn as much as you can about riding. A MSF course is a pretty good start.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I took the MSF class and got my M1 back on 1/2008.

I will take it slow for now.

I have only ride it around the block using seller's helmet. I still need to buy the helmet, glove and jacket so I can go cruising.

Awsome! welcome and do exactly what you said take it slow, once you learn the bike you will find just how amazing a bike the Fz6 really is

Nice looking bike, also something to add to the "To do" list is tires, those look like stock and should be pretty close to toast with 10,000 on them. Nice bike and remember

Ride lots and post often!!!:welcome:

Congrats on you first bike. Treat her right, and she will do the same. FZ6 all the way...

I'm confused...you kept it from your wife? How is that even possible?

Keep it around the block or somethin?

I kept it at work. The back ground of the FZ6 is my warehouse.

She did not say yes or no during my talk about buying a motorcycle in the past. She thought I was just talking about it like I talk about doing many things.

She got really worry after the fact of actually having it. After many talks, I decided to sell it to keep her happy (my husbandly duties).

You can buy carbon fiber turn signals on E-BAY for $10 each, thats what I did. I also got the fz6 matching color fender elim. kit too from e-bay.

Wow, i thought that a marriage was a compromise, not a sacrifice, if having a bike and riding makes you happy then you should do it responsible and your wife should support you unless you have a terribly long record of being reckless....IMO of course

Ever think that she may be pissed off because you hid it from her instead talking about it?!?

I would fully expect my husband to do the same thing your wife is doing if I hid a couple thousand dollar purchase.

:spank::spank::spank::D My wife would have killed me,buried me, sold the motorcycle and had a shopping spree with the proceeds.

It took 9 years of begging for her to finally give in:thumbup::cheer::rockon:
