Hey all you all you South Aussie FZ6 riders, who's interested in getting together for a ride?

Yep riding at 7/10th's is also a good policy on the road....just gives you that ability to pull your butt out of a sling when you get into a corner, etc, a bit too hot.

Sounds like a great ride anyway

Am off for an early evening ride with a couple other bikes...R1 & R6 in about an hour if anyone's interested at short notice.....will be meeting at Old Eagle on the Hill service station.

LMAO...yup, been racking them up pretty quickly now the weathers come good:rockon:. Got some fishing commitments coming up soon that will slow things down though:D.

Wont be doing much riding for the rest of this week, if all goes well, will be getting the wheels taken off the FZ6 tomorrow, so they can go get stripped & polished...so next week, watch out, i should also have my rearsets & Pazzo levers by then and maybe even my new front sprocket, so i will be riding the wheels off the thing, and looking for buddies to ride with, maybe a decent twilight ride next Monday, or Tuesday night....say through the hills the back way to Lobethal for a quick coffee, then a decent strop through to Murray Bridge, and back home via Strathalbyn, or via the Freeway if we are looking for a quick way home.

Cool. Hope all your stuff rocks up and you get it all done. Your bike is looking seriously nice now:thumbup:...lol. Won't be able to join you for your ride but believe me, I'll be there in spirit:rockon:...lol.

Thanks for the ups re the bike...it's nearly "done". Well we will have to catch up for a ride another time soon.

Going for a ride on Sunday Morning....taping bathurst, so no need to stay in for that....weather is going to be good...leaving at 9.30am...My mate Matt (TRX) is coming, as is Simon from Yamaha World (R6), plus Gary (Z1000)...destination unknown, will work that out over a coffee at Macca's on Magill Rd.

Anyone up for it?
 
I got family stuff on so I can't either ,but if you want a destination try Lobethal at midday,there is an historic car and bike demonstration race on up there.Black Bess from the 1930's will be racing,well when I say racing ,its been discribed as a spirited demonstration ,lol.They are not allowed to go over 130 kph.

Bingo! forgot about that.....Matt and i did discuss going to that a couple of weeks ago, well it looks like we may be going to Lobethal at some point in the day.....like that's a problem...Adelaide to Lobethal road is my favourite piece of blacktop bar none.....:Flash::Flash::Flash:
 
Reckon I might be up for this one. Had a fish today so I need a bike fix...lol. 9:30 Magill Road Maccas.:rockon: You Gary and an R6...looks like I'm bringing up the rear again...lol.

Nup, i reckon the R6 will be at the rear, if my last ride with that bike is anything to go by!

Good to see another FZ6 coming along...it's best we fight in packs!

Lol. I'll bring a big stick:spank:. I don't mind hanging at the back (some would say lurking:rof:...LMAO) as you can see what's going on and take it easy any time you want to, besides....If I hang with Matt no one will not see us:thumbup:...lol. His bike is reasonably loudish:rockon::D

Well today'se ride was interesting....Aussiejules (Julian), Ozzieboy (Mike), Me, and my mate Matt. I got on it on the way up the hill to Lobethal, and the bike felt great in the crisp morning air....then we had a great time hanging at Lobethal for a while, then we had an interesting ride home.

We snuck out the back way down Cudlee creek road, onto Gorge Road, this is when things got interesting!

It all starts when i say i am going at the back for once.....which lasted till the first set of twisties, and i gave it a little squirt for about 5km's, then pulled right back to the rear of the group.....then we get stopped by cops...they were stopping everyone...and a cop picks me out, and tells me to slow down...no ticket, just a stern "watch it buddy"...they must of had a spotter, cause at that stage i was off the gas at the rear of the group..the cop told me they saw me doing 125km/h through a 50km/h posted corner...maybe i was a way back, but not when this cop saw me???? Lucky escape, or was he just picking me out as the guy with a loud bike, and wanted to make an example of me in front of my peers, so we would take it easy on Gorge Road...notorious place for bike riders to total themselves...normally Squids!

So after this i go to the back again, having a bit of a giggle to myself, then Jules nearly gets wiped, car did appear to come outta nowhere, and it was a close thing, but it shook Jules up.

From there we cruised...i know i did not want to test the 3 strikes rule.

Still great day, photo's to come later, Matt and i are too busy drinking!

That's pretty much it in a nutshell ( Jules hope you Sat down with a beer or two and watched the race to unwind. :thumbup:). Just got home btw. 8:00 -ish. Got my brother to drag his car out ( Mitsubishi GTO or 3000GT or Stealth in the states...lol.) 4WD/4wheel steer twin turbo 3 litre missle and went up into the hills again. Just cruising behind me through the twisties....He Had heaps more to spare:spank:...up hill:D. Downhill the brakes aren't quite as good so I could get some space and then in traffic:thumbup:....Bye Bye:rockon:...lol.

Had a ball again and learned some new hints about what to wear to a fancy dress party:eek:...lol. Sorry:spank:. You kinda had to be there:D.
