Still want to do the Tassie trip in January, but that's the full week long road trip, and requires a bit more research yet....am working on it.

As for the trip being so short, is i thought 800km's each day is not ridiculous, no big cities to drive through. Is not about a Holiday, is more about a real decent ride, It saves money on Accomodation, and food, and it gets me back in Adelaide for Tuesday, and just taking Monday off, will make Tuesday a massive day work wise, and my mate Matt is on holidays that week. If pushed, i could make it two nights...but am trying to make it as affordable as possible, and as non disruptive to a very busy work schedule!

Have ridden around Europe, and lots of Australia, but have never done the great ocean road! Was resurfaced 2 years ago, so that just gives me more incentive to get on it.

LMAO. I would've joined you, but I just shot across the road for a loaf of bread at around 10:00am and ended up at Victor again. They've got some sort of 60s-70s thing going on in the park with all the bike parks blocked off, a big dance floor set up and loads of older cars from cooper s to mustangs to shelby GT. Just got home at about 3pm and after 5 hours in the saddle I'm ready for a coke on ice and a vid:thumbup:. Hope you had a good one:rockon:. Didn't think to get any pics as I forgot my camera and don't generally think of my phone as a camera....Doh!

Ended up missing my ride with the boys...got held up with work stuff in the City. Ended up getting on bike at 4.30 this arvo, and going for a ride by myself, Upper Sturt Rd, Piccadilly Road, Basket Range Road, Lobethal Rd, to Lobethal, then on to Birdwood, then Tea Tree Gully, then through city to Belair rd, and home...nice 140km ride....lots of bugs, but not many cars, and not one cop in sight for whole ride...

Should of rung you Jules, we could of hooked up for a quiet ride...was very restrained today.

Well i did only intend to go to Windy Point for a smoke, and a look at the sunset, but once i got on the bike, and it was such a nice day, i thought stuff it...just go boy!

Met a bloke at Lobethal on an 05 FZ1.

Bloody hell mate ! I bought mine in February last year with 5,800 km on it and I just clocked over 27,000 this week !

Had a great ride:thumbup:. I left it a bit late weather wise:spank: as I was waiting to see if I could stir up a buddy..lol. So I got rained on just a bit before I got to McLaren Vale and hung a leftie and went through Willunga. Those few drops were the only ones I saw. Up Willunga hill ( The Old road ) and across to Myponga. Down The hill via sellicks and stopped off at the bakery at Aldinga for some fresh rolls:rockon:. Popped in to see my Ma & Pa down Aldinga and had an Iced Coffee and some Vegemite rolls:rockon:. It doesn't get much better than that:thumbup:. Then reverse the route back. Great way to spend a couple hours.

Clarendon,coffee at Jacks in Strath ( chat with a fellow yammy cruiser rider looking at an FZ1 next:thumbup, Macclesfield, Strath, Milang, Goolwa, Victor for coffee and a 15 degree temperature drop at the roundabout before Ocean street. Saw a beautiful lass:cheer: with some friends out for a ride, one on a Speed Triple, a Buelle parked next to it and the others on an older yammy:rockon:. Delamere road down to Aldinga. Coffee with Ma & Pa and back home. All in all a great day....Except that I zipped up all my vents before heading out of Victor and got to the big hill up towards the Waits turnoff and hit a 15 degree temp jump...lol.:rof:

You've gotta love Victor.

Gotta love Delamere Road....awesome black top, and with Victor at One End, and Aldinga near the other end...whichever way you ride it, there is a great destination...i, myself prefer Aldinga to Victor....better beach!

You will have to come for a ride on my new hills run...you start on Upper Sturt Road, then go through stirling, Aldgate, Mylor, Hahndorf, Oakbank, Woodside, lobethal, Birdwood, and then back. From your joint, you could also take in Main Road, through Cheery Gardens to Blackwood/ Hawthorndene! This route is for the Twisties lovers, lots of low speed corners, with quick switch backs...the FZ loves it!
