I am hoping to get another set made before the Niagara Falls ride on the 20th, so I will take pictures as I go this time and make a how to. You do realize I am going to get ridiculed again right? lol This time I'll make sure I am wearing something other than a tube top :rof:

hey Steph....I just got home from vacation & saw this thread. :cheer:
I kept my ponytail on my helmet the whole time & we covered 1780 miles over 8 days. Lots of 'comments', all positive....2 strangers took my picture. I will probably end up on a Harley website somewhere!!!!!!!
It held on at speeds up to 111mph!!!! Parts of Utah are very straight, flat & lonely. And I ended up braiding mine. Less tangles that way.

Mine held up well too, how was wind resistance with yours? On windy days, I'm a bit of a bobble head lol The braiding is a good idea! May have to try that too on long distances so the tangles aren't so bad. I'm glad you let me know that making them was possible instead of buying them!

I did a test run before this trip & sometimes it flew straight out....according to John. But this trip I was riding with him on the back of the RT. Sometimes I could tell it was whipping around by my shadow on the ground. But I didn't notice any difference with or without it on, even in the cross winds that hit us. And we hit some good ones thru Arizona. My dog ears attach with suction cups and I am always worried that they would come off but the velcro I used on the ponytail worked great!
When I go back to work next week I'm gonna check if any of my stores still have the "brunette" version!

Did you sew the velcro on or did you use glue?
