Hey everyone, so ive been floating around this forum for the past few weeks. just reading posts, and got alot of good information from what ive seen. Thought I'd join.

I'm getting a bike when I get back state side, figured why not find a group of people who share similar interest.

Safety gear depends on what kind of riding you do. For commuting and long distance touring I think mesh/textile is more comfortable. For weekend quick trips and canyon carving/track leathers are better.

Probably just cruising around, enjoying not being confined to a car. I want to eventually take it from where im stationed up to my home.. long haul.

Welcome and post often..this is the best FZ6 site on the web..members are great and lots of great info on this site!

See you around.

Get purpose built gloves, boots, and helmet. Then buy pants and a jacket based on your budget. Leather will definitely give you the most protection and perforated leather is very cooling. The choice is yours but it's advisable to dress for the crash, not the ride.

Check out www.newenough.com for good deals on gear and some of the best customer service on this planet :D

Welcome to the site

Hi, welcome. I'm a relative new member, too.

The site's got a pretty good structure, so you can find most info by going into the section where you "think" it should be. Then use the search function to find relevant threads. Seek and you can find a lot of really good info.

Enjoy the bike. See you around.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I will for sure post pictures of my new bike when I get it. I didnt wanna go overboard with buying safety gear, but at the same time, I know taking a tumble is almost inevitable so I was thinking even with cruising should I go ahead and get left and arm armor?
