They stick out an extra 1.5 inches?? Wow I did not think it would stick out that much (thats what she said). From the pictures they look great though. Thank you for posting this. Now I await to see an akrapovic detailed installation to compare. I've narrowed down my choices to Leo Vince or Akrapovic.

I went to take a short video clip with my camera, and that was exactly what I got - A VIDEO, no sound.:( Seems weird to have a video option on a camera with no microphone.:eyebrow:

Got my titanium on this morning. Thanks to Jman's DIY, the install went without a hitch. Great suggestion on Loc-Tite. One thing I did add though. Since the pipes were literally slip on and held together by springs, I sealed the fitting with Permatex Copper for added assurance. Here are some pictures.

Comparison vs stock.

Those headers look kind of CRUDY! I found this product - Blue Job....I know what you're thinking....sounds like Smurf porn right? But, seriously, it does an OK job. I may try something better in the future. Hope that someone finds this thread helpful. More mods to come........ :Sport:

It works pretty good. Not a lot of product in the container. Did not really get it as new looking as I would like, but did make it look much better. When I get a chance, I will try some other products out there. Thanks for the compliments - I appreciate it.

Alright, my first day out and about with the Leos and here's my first ride impressions.

Once I got into the saddle, oh yeah... it's VROOM, VROOM. The hollow idle tone is quite pronounced. Once I start rolling in first gear, "WOOAAAHHHH".... after so accustomed to the stock exhaust, the new muffler sounds thundering. This continues for a couple of gears and then dissipates after 40 mph. At higher speeds, the sound level is pretty much like stock from riding position. Perhaps this is because wind noise eventually takes over. At lower RPMs (less than 4000) and lower speeds (less than 40 mph), the roaring crescendo can either be music to one's ears:rockon: or librarian's worst nightmare.:spank:

After 10 miles of city riding, my ears had gotten use to the Leos. Honestly, it's a very comforting sound when I split lanes and approach slowing or stopped cars at a stop light.

After 60 miles or so breaking in Leos, I have noticed the usual stock exhaust vibration at 5K rpm has gone away. It was my indicator to shift but it's no longer there. This was a welcoming improvement to say the least.

And the best part is? I get to wake up in the morning and do it all over again... grinning from ear to ear.
