And it has a 26k mile valve check interval
And it's fuel injected
And it has BT-016s on it
And adjustable suspension
And 17 inch wheels
And each cylinder displaces 250 cc

Also has some 21/18s
They are just iPhone pics, but good enough.
It's a 2007.5 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R and it has 11,000 miles on it. Mods include carbon pipes, heated grips, laminar lip windscreen, and plug for GPS.
I bought it as my FZ6 replacement. I'll be using it for all TW same duties: sport touring...
HERE IS THE ADVERTISEMENT:
This is the 139 hp naked sport bike with 10,689 miles and the bullet proof rotax v-twin motor that is no longer available. In 2007.5 Aprilia boosted the rotax motor horsepower significantly, so do not confuse this bike with 2007 and earlier models...
So I did a track day this past Monday. First one since 2009 and I had a blast. I've done a ton of street riding since my last track day and am a much better/confident rider than I was then. I've never had so much fun at the track...no butterflies...just pure joy.
So it was 33 F at the track...
EDIT - everything except the pazzo brake/clutch levers has been sold (April 1, 2012)
Yeah......been thinking long and hard about it and am thinking about selling both my bikes (FZ6 and KTM 640 Adv) and getting a Honda Civic. Ur....I mean, and getting a KTM 950 Super Enduro R, to be...
So my oil fill cap cracked today and I'm doing a track day at Infineon Raceway next weekend so I need the part relatively soon.
So there is OEM, I think there was a "billet aluminum" option out there for a while, Rizoma?, what else?
Anyone have one they want to sell me?
BTW, while I...
2,100 miles of mixed use (no less than 400 miles of straight line highway, possibly more, with the rest being pretty twisty)
Side are pretty much done
Wear bars...would you keep riding this front?
I think I'm done with 016s for now
I'd probably keep this tire going for a while...

Put a couple pics of FB on Monday...sorry for neglecting the...
Well, this rear BT-016 served me well for around 4,500 mles. By chance I used these tires on two long trips which both included a few hundred miles of highway (in recent history most of my tires have managed to do much less highway). I had camping gear on the bike for about 2400 of the miles...
Couple interesting things in the last few days...
1. I quit my job after 7 years with the company.
My last day is the 8th. I'm going to take some time to work on my house, do some things for my Mother that she needs, and make my pregnant wife's life easier for a while (she is still...
Straight forward question....just curious what others do.
Poll is PRIVATE.
My friend crosses the double-yellow to pass when safe/prudent but stays in his lane otherwise. He does this very often on back roads. Sometimes if he comes up on a chain of cars on a twisty road he'll...
EDIT - see post #8
The Givi rack using a 6-point mounting system. The top two mounting points (left and right) mount directly to the subframe using some sort of expansion bolt system (similar to what you would use to mount handguards on a dirt bike or dualsport bike).
Does anyone have an...
Do you have the black metal sub/subframe that holds the license plate assembly for sale?
It's called "bracket 6" Part # 2522056-001 and ITEM 42 on the schematic (search by part number).
Pm me if you do because I'd like to buy it.
Thanks

Leaving Friday morning after a good breakfast
Stopped for some coffee in Jenner, CA. It was a good 65F and sunny on the coast by 10:30 am. I'm sure it was much warmer inland.
BAM!
Unseasonably warm way up North

These pictures were taken when the tires had about 2,400 miles on them. You can see I am at the wear bars and according to the manufacturer, they should be replaced. However, that would be crazy as they are still providing good grip.
If you look really closely, you can make out the dual...
