    To much??

Whoa... The drama... There is too much drama going on in your post(s) for us narrow your problem down. I'm thinking you have some stuff unrelated to the oil fill going on.

    Chain Slack question

I would not have measured that way, but that doesn't mean it's out of alignment either. If the chain is aligned with the front sprocket and tire wear looks good your method most likely is in alignment. Personally, I measure from the swing arm mount bolt holes but others have a different way...

    Parking lot mishap

I do wish the owner of the parked Goldwing I hit today had some noise available. Yep! I just took out a Honda Goldwing in the Burger King parking lot. Ran right over that expensive bike - well not over but enough to kick the crap out of it. Tip: Parking lots are dangerous for bikes when...

    Which brake to use?

+1 You will, with time, manage your breaks better but if you get in a habit of never using the rear break it MAY hurt you in a bad way. Both are there for a reason!

    Oh For Shame!

Hellgate your right about the shocks. HD re-tuned the suspension for the '09 models but I still feel them bottoming out. They may not actually be bottoming out, but they feel so on certain rail tracks around here. I need to adjust them a notch or two and see. As far as the brakes go, I think...

    Oh For Shame!

Thanks and damn straight I'll wave back. I'll be the non-Harley looking rider with the ride gear and all. :) As far as the lower back pain, I say this now but it's not as bad as my thumb/wrist pain was on the FZ.

Where do you have your pre-load set?

Yep! A piece of cake. You may wish to use the extension handle that is in your tool kit. I've smacked my hand with only the adjustment wrench. Looking at the bike, left side, fit the wrench and turn it forward - the mono shock setting will click in place.

Where do you have your pre-load set?

The scales tell me my single ride weight is 205lbs with gear and I use 4. When I add a 2nd person I bump it up to 5. Most of the surfaces I ride are smooth so I don't bottom out but if your roads are bad, with two up I would go maybe 6 depending on combined weight.

    heavy 2 up

Get a second FZ6 and both of you ride together. Other than that, you are in limits but you should watch the kind surfaces you ride over [bumps and such] and you may need to visually inspect the bike more often for stress cracks around the mono shock.

I cannot be FZ6inNH any more!

This would be my story if it were mine. :) Really nice ride you have there!
