year difference for bars?

Does anyone know if the year of manufacture makes a difference on the pull-back for FZ6R bars? (I know, wrong forum, but bear with me) I just received my new FZ6R bars and they look identical to the bars that are on my bike (which I thought was totally stock). Just curious if anyone knew. Thanks.

I've never heard of any change in the bars over the model years.

I have a 2008 and changed to FZ6R bars over the winter.

The FZ6R bars versus my stock bars have a bit less sweep so that the tips are about 1 1/2 inches farther front. I noticed that the color of the FZ6R bars is a darker silver than the stock ones are.

I don't think the different bars reduced the finger numbing as I was hoping. I recently bought a Corbin seat, mostly to be able to mount a backrest, and it changed my seat position toward the rear. So now I'm thinking I'll change back - as a test.
