Yamaha frame cap

so... I broke down and bought the yamaha frame cap on ebay from this place called colin appleyard. they are in w. yorkshire england. I sent a few ebay messages to confim pricing and shipping cost. bid and bought. bought 2/23.. arived (i am in CT) 3/13.. not bad on shipping considering it has to go across the ocean.. cost was around $35-$40 i think.. but well worth it when you consider what it adds to the bike.

and..

adds absolutly no functionality to the bike. but the bling factor is definitly 100%.. the bike is in storage right now so it will be a while till i get it on.. but i do have some measuring tools.. so i could provide some measurements if someone wants to cad up a design.. the plastic thing that goes into the frame is really more of a plastic drywall anchor. yea, nice yamaha.. but still.. ill get some measurements up and pics when its on the bike..

im seriously thinking that most if not all the parts can be aquired at home depot. obviously the cap itself would have to be machined, but i belive the rest is at home depot.. ill let you know...

well.. thats what i bought.. doesnt really look liek the picture, but its in a yamaha box and lookes great.. thats about the smae price i had got mine for.. thanks though :thumbup:

yea.. i see you have the one sided cap too.. i really want to make a copy and figure out how to get it to attach.. im sure it can be that difficult to do something like that.. just need a machine shop.. i dont really know how to use cad.. so any ideas??? i mean, i would lean if there were interest in this sort of product...
