Looking into getting a new seat for the FZ6...

Obviously, I would hope the TS seat is superior, that isn't necessarily the question. Is it worth it though? haha

I'm looking at TS FZ6 seat on special, which is $286 shipped plus the cost of shipping my pan back to them.

The Yamaha Comfort gel seat is only ~$175 shipped straight up.

Is the TS seat worth $130 more? Thanks for you opinions.

I know most TS owners and very happy with them. I had the comfort seat and upgraded to a Corbin, i think worth every penny. I usually ride just once a week for 175 to 200 miles. The comfort seat was better then stock but after a hour a break is needed and probably every half hour after that. The Corbin two hours no problem. The TS should be the same.

Well, the cheapest one... which I don't necessarily like the best is 190 euros shipped (plus the cost of shipping my pan back).

So it would actually be ~$270 shipped just for the new seat.

Looking at one of the other specials on the right hand side that is more my looks, with red accent. If I buy that one, and actually pay for a base so I don't have to send mine back I'm looking at $381 shipped.

WHEW, more than double the price of the Yamaha comfort seat....

I have all 3 and the TS works best for me . the corbin is a very nice too, its leather too and looks great. don't waste your money on the yamaha gel seat.

Well all, I took the plunge this morning and ordered a TS seat, one of the bargain one, and bought the pan to go with it so I didn't have to ship back.

Worked out to ~$380USD... will post pics when I get it!

Well, I received my seat today, except it is different from what I ordered.

I verified my order using the color numbers on their site, also verified with the visual picture they included in my confirmation e-mail. I e-mailed them, hope to hear back soon on how they want to handle this situation, because I would like the correct item and I refuse to pay for return shipping or anything else because of their mistake. So we will see.

It's really not a "huge" deal, just a bit angry I didn't get what I ordered since a paid QUITE a bit of money... so we'll see how if goes.

The edge piping is supposed to be RED and it's SILVER...

I would ask them for some kind of discount if you decide to live with it. For that kind of $ I expect to get what I ordered. IMO.

I got the comfort seat and after two rides of 661 and 754 miles per day I thought the seat did well. A key aspect is not to wear anything that can dig into your skin even jockey shorts with the bulky liner. Another thing is being able to shift your position periodically.

Chose to do all correspondence via e-mail because I didn't want to pay for an internation phone call, haha. So it took a couple days, but they were fairly quick/timely with their responses, especially given the time difference.

I showed them proof via picture, and they sent me a prepaid expedited UPS return label for the incorrect seat. Then I will receive a new correct seat. Good thing I'd going on vacation for 7 days, so I won't miss out too much on waiting for the new one!

A+ to TS customer service! Will post new pics when I receive it!

That's good to hear, errors occur when people are involved lol. Its not necessarily the error that damages a companies rep. But how errors are fixed. Sounds like you got good service in the end.

So, I received my new seat and it looks GREAT.

Now I'm kind of torn, because the fitment of this one is NOT good. The other seat fit perfectly, no gap in the front, no gap in the rear, and clicked right into place into the locking mechanism.

This new one looks great, and from the looks of it the pan is "new" but looks like a TopSellerie formed item. Once place on the bike though, there is a noticeable gap in the front (yes the lip is inserted), and the rear doesn't cover the complete seat area.

This new one is not bad on comfort, but the previous seat was noticeably more comfortable. When I sit on this one, i can feel the seat move (because of gap in front), and the sitting area seams smaller than previous seat (area between tank and "backrest" type are (where the FZ6 lettering is...)

I'm kind of at a loss... I guess I will ride it more today and give it a chance...

Somewhat annoying.

I like the looks of the TS seat but I am happy with my $150 yamaha gel seat.
