Well, today I went for a few rides before work. Once me, once with the girlfriend, to a few different places.
I came home to talk to my dad, who hit a motorcyclist today. He was at fault, left turn, swears he didn't see the bike coming. Now I know I'm quite cautious in any form of urban environment, slow down when going through intersections, and all the things I can do as a rider. The guy was wearing pants and a t, girl on back in daisy dukes, flip-flops, and a t. Guy wasn't hurt, girl got some road rash (maybe she'll learn ATGATT, probably not though, I hear it's hot outside). Luckily they both walked away ok other than the road rash.
So I've been riding about 4 years now, and he comes up with a bribe so to say. He'll give me cash to stop riding. Now, I want to respect his wish, but I'm not about to be bribed out of my favorite hobby. He's giving me time to decide, but I'm letting him calm down before I tell him I want to keep riding.
So, what would you do? Like I said, my mind is mostly made up, I just want to hear some opinions.
