Will 2009 fairing fit on 2004?

I tried searching but got bored

I know the clocks, lights etc. are different but that is a minor issue, will the 2009 fairing physically fit on a 2004?

I do know that there's a 2005 model sitting in a used dealership local to me that's got an S2 faring, seat and pillion footpegs, and it doesn't look like a bodge-job either, so I guess you can make it so! :cheer:

I'm just guessing here... but there's a good chance Yamaha didn't change the fairing mounting points on the headstock or frame, so I'd suspect the S2 headlight and fairing bracket would bolt straight on. If it does, all you would need are the relevent brackets for holding the fairing together, the headlight, the clocks, screen, mirrors (though yours may fit) and the fairing plastics. It would probably be cheaper to trade your bike in against a newr S2 though.

Following my little get off in December the fairing still has to be replaced so I am considering getting S2 plastics instead. The repair quote includes the main fairing, left panels, screen, left mirror and left headlight so it is a good portion of the total outlay (when the insurance decides to pay out).

I've done that mod. You will need a complete frontend and just bend the brackets a lil bit. Headlight is the same all years.
