My first bike, which i still have, is a 1983 Kawasaki gpz550. It was the first year a sport bike had a mono-shock! It's got 35,000 miles on it, very beat up (jb welded gas tank). But it starts every time, never let me down. Pretty quick for how old it is. I just replaced it with a 2006 fz6 three weeks ago. The fz6 is like a Cadillac in caparison!!

Current 2006 FZ6
1988 Kawasaki ZG1000 Concours. Never rode it much, had to sell to finance wife & first daughter...;)
1986 Suzuki GSX-R750R limited edition model which featured a dry clutch, steering damper, larger brakes, solo seat and a host of suspension improvements... Should have died on this bike, had zero fear...and it was my first street bike:eek:
1969? Honda CL 350 Project bike, never could figure out the messed up wiring.
1984 Honda XR200. Bone stock, beat the crap out of it! Wicked fun.
197? Suzuki PE 175. Froze the motor, which taught me how to mix correct ratios! Had it bored out but never ported, what a beast!

First let me say i'm so glad I figured out how to use my scanner !! :BLAA: Now back on topic!! I have allway's built or repaired every bike I ever Owned, the bike in the pic with me is a 1978 Yamaha XS650 I Bobbed back in 05.sold it bought it back rode it and sold it again,I had looked at my FZ6 on the showroom floor, did'nt buy it cause they wanted to much I thought for last year's model, went to work for the stealership and bought my FZ6 when the guy who bought it New sold it back to the stealership with 99 miles on it and both rim's bent so bad they would'nt hold air !! So I pulled a Black 08 R6 from the showroom floor put chrome rim's on it and it's Off Gold rim's and tires on the FZ6 and bought it for a cash price less than $5,400 out the door.

Nice. I have 2 1981 GPzs that I am working on right now. Both are the late uni-track style. One of them belonged to my uncle that bought it new in 81. I hope to make one into a vintage racer.

1984 Honda Nighthawk 750S (Canada) - had ~ 27,000kms on it when I got it, and I wrecked it at 41,000km. I purchased this bike in ride-able condition for a scuba diving knife, and a set of scuba dive planning tables (~$60 Cdn). To this day, I have never gotten a better deal on anything!

2006 Ninja 650R with fender eliminator and Leo Vance slip on.

Rode the bike for 2 years and put about 10K miles on her. Great bike, but IMO nothing compared to the FZ6.

My last bike was a 2007 Suzuki Bandit 1250 ABS. I sold it because I decided a bike with that much torque needs to have traction control or a more disciplined rider. Only have a few hundred miles on the FZ6 so far but I do like how you have to "plan" to go fast, cant just twist your wrist without downshifting like the bandit.
