Are there any major things that can break. It's a 2004 model FZ6N and i will test ride it this weekend i obviously want to check the bike for any faults, what do i need to look out for?

As long as the bike is given proper maintenance, there's nothing serious that you should expect as a problem.
My FZ6 2004 was at approximately 9000 km. The only problems I experienced after the purchase were clogged air filter and stiff clutch line. A good idea is to inspect the chain and rear sprocket for serious wear.
