Turning 56 in August. I had owned a Suzuki Cavalcade since 1986. What a beast she was, but she was great for all day rides on Interstates which I don't do anymore. Now, with my FZ6, I'm getting back to my roots and the style of riding like I did as a kid. Riding is fun again and I love my first Yamaha!

Turned 60 in January of 2010 and bought an FZ6 in February 2010.
Feels good.

I thought the new FZ6's 2007+ engine was comparable to the 03 R6 or something like that. But still not quite as tuned...the R6 makes a good bit more HP so how are they exactly the same?

your right, all years of the fz share the same engine, based on the genII R6 with some minor internal changes

Though I rode bikes "all" my adult life, the FZ6F (2008) is my first brand new one!
And I love "her"!
