MSRP for an '09 in Canada is $9,800...some new ones left, not many,
lowest I've seen retail is $7,200 for black, more for blue, MSRP in the US is
$7,200, should = 8K Canadian, but as usual we get hosed on the exchange

you see here in norway (which is actually the worlds most expensive country) we pay taxes and **** for everything. on a bike you pay for the HP and weight and everything else i dont know about. i just looked up in the new bmw rr the simplest model costs over 48000 dollars so yes we have i nice country to live in but hell it is expensive!

I bought my 07 brand new in June 09 for $6850 CAD. I know it's a couple years old, but it's exactly the same as a 09. Plus it left me some room for a few grand in mods LOL.

A FZ6 S S2 (with ABS) cost 23.923US$ (120.000DKK) I do not believe the non ABS version is available any longer.
Crazy, isn´t it.

It is the same with cars. Take for instance a Audi 2.0 TDI Avant - a very common car over here. I cost 524.000DKK (104.590US$). I guess that you can get a very nice car in other countries for that kind of money.

This thread is useful for comparing the difference in price between countries I suppose. However it would also be helpful to compare the average wage as well. At least that way you can compare the cost of the bike against the average wage. Otherwise it's pointless knowing that an FZ6 costs $40000 in one country and $5000 in another when the average yearly wage for the first country might be $12000 and $1200 for the second country.

That said I had to look up the average wage in the UK which appears to be £22k, around $36535 US. Bear in mind that's gross yearly pay and we get taxed to death on everything in the UK..

ok, why would anyone buy a bike in denmark? isnt it cheaper to buy it from sweeden or germany and drive back? will they make you pay 12.000euros to import it?
