I caused it to rain tomorrow (washed it and polished my headers). Well it seems like cause and effect to me. I washed it and polished my headers Thursday night and it rained Friday:rolleyes:.

I also mounted my fishing rods for a dry run, and changed the oil, adjusted, and lubed the chain, took some photos, sat on it, started it, polished the rest of the bike, checked my tyre pressures again, felt how smooth the tank feels after a good polish, took it down to the tackle shop to get some more flies, and lures, and came home and cleaned the dirty bits, felt how smooth the tank feels again...lol....yeah I know....get a life (or a room:eek:)...lol.:BLAA:

Yesterday, I added my fz1 bar to my bike, and to day i tried to add a relay to my oxford heated grips, so they will turn off with my key. The relay didn't go to well, I can't turn on my grips now. However, my new bar looks great, and the way they feel and handles is awsome!

I installed the most awesome mod ever on a bike. Oh yeah Then went out on a charity ride for a downed rider. He got shot in the back of the head while riding. He's mostly okay now, but has tons of medical bills. And since he doesn't want to be doing that "hardcore" (gang) stuff anymore, his club pulled his colors. So much for "brotherhood" and all that.

Then on the ride we had a rider go down. She bought a Harley Sportster 883, put the Screaming Eagle package on it and decided that qualified her to ride. No license and apparently had only ridden once or twice, and decided to go on a huge group ride. Classic look where you don't want to go in the turn. The police escort was right there and called the ambulance. Nothing broken, and she could move everything, but she was only wearing the half lid for gear, and we were doing 70 when she highsided. So it didn't look pretty.

Although I can now attest that the Harley crash bars work wonders... Just some broken turn signals. Not even a dent or a scratch anywhere else. The crash bar was toast though.

I personally didn't think any of the turns were all that exciting. The last exit was a bit tight, but she didn't even make it that far. So umm... Take the MSF class. Just sayin'.

Yesterday I took my first ride of the year. Broke in a new rear tire and burnt threw an entire tank of full. The weather was beautiful, it was a good day.

This was technically yesterday but I'll put it for today anyways. Did the ~460 mile return trip from Tucson back home to New Mexico (rode down there Saturday). Didn't time it quite right and was 15 minutes late for my shift which started at 4:(

FZ did just fine like always, though I noticed after returning that sometime on the way home my soft saddlebag on the right had shifted a little and rubbed against the side of the tire. Now my saddlebag has a hole in it, and the plasticy stuff from the saddlebag is melted onto the almost new tire. Hopefully I can scotchbrite it off, it appears to be rather slick and I don't want to risk riding on it.

I rode it to work, then took the long way home. We need a hard rain to wash that grave, salt mix away. There was also several places where landslides and rock slides are almost in the road. We had more freeze thaw cycles this year.

Hi!! All
Got in 300 something miles day before yesterday
Had ordered some carbon fiber vinyl [3m]
Yesterday I put it on my muffler cover and radiator ends
It's good to over 200 degrees so we'll see how it sticks
It really came out nice ,now we'll see how it holds up.
This vinyl looks and even feels like the real thing it's thicker than normal so no trouble with air bubbles.
Today I'm thinking about cutting down my wind shield and then carbon fibering it.
I got a 30" by 12" sheet for just over $30 [Metro on ebay]
