weight of exhaust

sweet! i always told him that his fat ass makes the bike slows ! thats why he ran a 11 sec quarter on it! muhahaah

Hahaha!

I looked it up on the "internet" and I was a little low. I found numbers from 10 lbs to 13.5 lbs is about equal to a 1 hp increase.

I've seen a ratio that drag racer use as a rule of thumb but I can't find a solid source. I did find several hp calculators based on ETs, trap and weight but not the formulas behind the calculator. Fun to play with regardless. :D

Just thought I'd put up the weight of my stock exhaust and cat vs my M4 slip on and Arrow cat elim.

Stock can including all mounting hardware
~14.5lbs
Stock cat
~2.59lbs

M4 titanium slip on
~10.9lbs
Arrow cat elim
~.9lbs

When trying to add HP to my car it was always easier to reduce weight, I was told ratio was 10 to 1 regarding weight to HP.
