Tiny piece of clear tape over the microphone seems to help mine out quite a bit. And of course adjust the mic gain .. I think mine's at 27 for moto rides.

My neighbor got what they call a "Dead Cat" for his GoPro. It's a piece of fake fur that attaches to the back and stops the wind at the opening of the camera but allows sound to pass to the microphone.

He went to a fabric shop and found the fake fur to make it himself. El Cheapo and works great!
