Versys named Motorcycle of the Year for 2008

A mate of mine has just traided his nekkid FZ6 for a Versys. reason for his change was that it was still too easy to reach license shredding speeds on the Yam (he originally traided a fazer 1000 for the FZ6 for the same reason). He's quite taken with it, reckons it's better than the FZ6 when his boy's on the back as well.

I know how he likes to ride though, I think this time next year he'll be bored with it.

I wouldn't want anybody to see me riding a Versys, that's for sure. I'd prefer the V-Strom then (or even better, the Yamaha TDM :cheer

I rode the TDM 900 and it was very poor in comparison IMO.
