Un-crashing

You can learn a lot from those vids! Really cool footage! :D

looks like most of these guys didnt trust their line. either tapping the rear brake too hard or didnt try to hang off and lean a little more. maybe a little chunky on the throttle too judging by the majority of the rear ends kicking out. it would be nice to be able to hear the engine noise to get a better idea (i know i could watch the other videos but im a little lazy right now.):spank:

Here's the Harley crash from the compilation above. Can clearly hear he's off the throttle through the whole curve.. not to mention terrible body position

At 0:10 you can hear metal. His floor board startles him and he changes his line. He then tries to compensate to get through the turn but is into the the metal even harder on and off. If he had just stayed on the metal to begin with he may have gotten through the turn. Once he was into that side case there was little weight in the rear tire anymore and the rest was history. Getting his weight off would have also helped get him through the turn to begin with.

Add the touring tire compound and a hard brittle chicken strip that's never been scuffed before and you have "Broken Hog Soup!"

have to give him props tho....he walked away like a total boss....lol

I have seen TONS of vids of this specific corner.....ALOT of people go off there.....you can see skids from both front and rear lettin loose......

initially i thought this was the infamous banner grade pass, but then i read the video description. and that particular YT poster does a lot of filmin of bikes on that particular pass, especially that corner.

Again, though, and i say it all the time (maybe not on the forum), you have to trust your line. once you've picked your line and gauged your speed, you have to commit.
