I just bought a pair of frame sliders and put them on this morning. I made the dumb mistake of not loosening it with a torque wrench to see how tight the bolts were. My wrench is in newton meters and inch pounds. how tight should i get the bolts?

Actually, it is depend on material(strength) of screw. I think 55N-m cover most case but some good designed slider has weaker screw to prevent fatal damage of mounting place, it means need more looser torque.. . However, I wonder such slider maker will indicate tightning torque.

Note: Some damn slider using stain-less steel bolt but, combination between aluminium and stain-less steel happen obvious electrical corrosion on Aluminium side. If you have to use, putting grease or thread compound will help it being slower on progress of corrosion.
