i liked one of the comments, looks like somethings squids do. if it doesnt affect performance than it comes off quick. But i wouldnt risk putting paint on my tires, think about the painted lines in the road they provide crap traction

I think painting the tread looks a little tacky..

I however white letter painted some of the sidewall writing, I think it looks pretty classy!, I mean it must.... I did it!

Ya, the side wall painting sounds pretty cool, I used to do it 5 yrs ago.
Thanks for reminding. I'll do it once I get a new tire.

The Absolute sickest looking painted letters were on my '86 FZ600, The bike was pearl white and red, (and in near mint condition). I put a set of Pirelli Sport Demons on it and white outlined "Pirelli" and "Sport Demon". Coolests looking white letters EVER!

I painted my Pilot road 3's. They look ok. I'll get a pic up later today!

I'm just not a showy type but that being said it looks kind of cool I guess. I have never had a problem with older tires that are white walled/lettered, always liked that!

Wouldn't risk it myself. Would rather have max grip.
Also can't imagine it would fit in a number of the tread patterns of Pilot Roads (especially those cross sectional ones on the front)
