Time to update

Well just after clocking up 35k on what is my now second Fz6, its time to move the bike on to my eldest daughter who just loves it!.
All this leads me to think what next? what bike do you get that will replace such a brilliant bike?.
Well I'm thinking big tourer, and I must admit I really like the look of the Kwaka GTR 1400, only problem is I'm struggling to get a test ride, as most dealers are not taking me seriously, what's a chick gonna do with such a big bike they say. Well ride it of course! anyhow that's another story.
My question, has anyone here had any experience with this bike? whats your thoughts on this beautiful machine?.

I cant say yea or nay over the GTR, but it sure looks good Bets of luck finding the right bike. Enjoy those test rides!

Times like these you need a shoulder bag full of cash, so when they don't take you seriously you casually open it give them an eye full then say you'll find someone actually interested in selling bikes
On the bright side if they are being douchebags about a test ride you can almost guarantee their service will be terrible, so probably want to avoid them anyhow.

Nice looking bike too, but no personal experience I am afraid!

Folks like that are morons -- I wonder if you should hint to the sales manager about this non productive behavior. It's morons like that who get really upset when a woman shows them up and removes what little manhood they have -- then someone has to come up to them and tell them how "big" they are so that they can get it back. -- sorry for the rant.

Anyway, it's tough to follow up on the FZ6. I'm guessing you want a sporty touring machine. I just youtube'd the one you're talking about and it looks nice.

FZ6 folks seems to like to tour and carry stuff and rip the twisties on top of that.

Well its a little late since it's after the fact, but the BMW & Ducati dealerships are very good in offering test rides. The Ducati Multidtrada is going to be my next bike.

I did ride a couple of BMW's great bike's but not for me, so far the GTR and I are building what I think will be a lasting relationship, hope the FZ,6 who is looking on from within the garage, does not get to jealous!

Looks good. Looking at the above video, I see it corners well too and you can carry a lot of stuff. Congratulations on the new bike.

I have trouble with dealerships too.

Whenever we go into a store and I ask for a price on something, they end up looking to Mike and start asking him questions. If, by then, Mike hasn't already said, "Mate, it's not my bike - ask her" then I usually make some smart comment to them. Then they get flustered and ask me dumb questions repeatedly like "What year is it again?" "Is it the naked one?" "What year is it again?"......

The guys are usually sexist in these shops, but the women that work there aren't much better either. They usually don't ride - well, that's the case in Perth anyway - and can't help with anything. Mike rang a store in Perth yesterday for a price on Dri Rider Panniers (even gave them the model name). The reply - what size? Mike replied saying there was only one size. She said no, there are many. She thought Panniers were riding pants...... :shakehead: Still doesn't know what panniers are - Mike ended up telling her not to worry about it - even though they are advertised on their website.

I know that is different in other places, and I'm not trying to offend anyone - Caz etc.
