I just started to gear up for a ride and looked at our weather:

32 degrees and foggy.

Means black ice on the roads, as I sigh and start flipping channels. I want to hit a hard ride leaning into it. I've been babying it through crappy conditions too long.

I move we take a vote to send winter back to the southern hemisphere.

I hate winter as well. It may be enough to make me move south...again. I kick myself for not getting into riding like I am now when I lived in Georgia. I had an old XT250 dualsport bike I commuted on...the Fizz is my first sport bike and now I live in a place that has 4 months of crap winter weather.

Our roads looked like that on Wednesday. Thanks to some warmer weather, they are now bare and the hub and I are talking about taking a winter ride on Friday or Saturday. The only road we have to deal with now is the drive way and I think we can limp it along. Woo-hoo! I get to ride after 3 months!

Due to insurance-terms we (As in Danish People) normally can't rind from December 1. till March 1.
So I got 27 days and counting ........ CANT WAIT!!

It looks like we might be getting some of that wintery stuff on tuesday... great.

Oh well, at least it is not getting dark as soon... winter will be heading back to those austrailians soon...

I got in about a two hour ride today, low sixties and sunny for a change. Bad head-cold and cabin-fever seemed a little less noticeable, Dr.Fizzy to the rescue.

The air temp was 39 degrees today so I shoveled a path to the shed and started the FZ. I can't wait for spring!

We've been in the 20s/30s for the last few weeks, so its been wrapped up. However, it went up to around 60 today, so I took off for a few hours after changing the oil in the Jeep. Was really, really nice to get out, except for the sand in some intersections (makes it a little hairy to lean..they DUMP sand at intersections around here!).

Boy that road would be fun on a Yamaha Phazer snowmobile.
